I am delighted to highlight a noteworthy initiative undertaken by Thompsons in commemoration of Mandela Day on July 18th. This marked a meaningful collaboration with the Hillcrest-based non-profit organization, Focus on Ithemba – A Place of Hope, embodying our commitment to championing sustainable positive transformation in the communities where our products are consumed.
Our team demonstrated this commitment by paying a visit to the Inkanyezi Pre-School in Molweni, nestled in Waterfall in Hillcrest. During this impactful visit, our employees actively engaged in cultivating a vegetable garden, fostering sustainability at its core. Moreover, recognizing the importance of preserving the school’s garden, we took the initiative to construct a greenhouse, reinforcing our dedication to the long-term well-being of the community.
